Forest Scene (Framed Non Reflective Glass)
As you walk through the rainforest, patches of light penetrate through the canopy and play amazing games with your senses and thoughts. In this organic soundscape of visual delights time stands still and breathing has never felt so good. Take your time to allow creatures from within the shadows to appear in diffused clarity. Sometimes you may only catch a glimpse of movement out of the corner of your eye allowing your imagination to run wild. The more you look the more you see, and in time a full picture appears. A fragile eco-system where everything is dependant on one another for survival and competing against each other at the same time. Sometimes when you go on a bush walk the best thing you can do is stay still allowing creatures, and details to reveal themselves.
This collection was first exhibited in the “Cassowary Country Exhibition” at Cairns Regional Art Gallery 2009. Please click here for review, artist statement and information about the endangered Cassowary of North Queensland.
