woodlands & river valleys in Australia, New Zealand. It feeds on insects, fish, reptiles, small crustaceans & small rodents. Usually, a bird will sit on a low branch & wait for prey to pass by. It swoops down to grab the prey and returns to its perch to eat.

The Dainty Green Tree Frog (Litoria gracilenta) is a slender, medium sized frog, reaching a length of 45 mm. It is a rich green on its dorsal surface, with a yellow ventral surface. It has a coarse, granular skin with bright orange eyes and is commonly found in vegetation
emerging from the water in creeks and swamps. It’s habitat includes
rainforest, woodland and forest. The males will call during summer
rains with a long “waa” or “wee”chorus.

The Ulysses Butterfly (Papilio ulysses) is also known as the Blue Mountain
Butterfly and has a wingspan of about 14 cm. It inhabits the tropical rainforests of north Queensland. When in flight the butterfly can be seen hundreds of metres away as sudden iridescent electric blue flashes.These colours are produced by the microscopic structure of the scales
on the wings. The female of the species is different from the male in
that she has little crescents of blue in the back sections of her hind wings.
