The Red-tailed Black Cockatoo is a large cockatoo native to Australia. Adult Red-tails are around 60 centimetres in length and sexually dimorphic. Males are completely black in colour, except for their prominent red tail bands; the slightly smaller females are brownish-black with yellow barring and spotting and have yellow-orange tail stripes. Usually found in eucalyptus woodlands, or along water courses.

dorsal surface, with a yellow ventral surface. It has a coarse, granular
skin with bright orange eyes and is commonly found in vegetation
emerging from the water in creeks and swamps. It’s habitat includes
rainforest, woodland and forest. The males will call during summer
rains with a long “waa” or “wee”chorus.

The Stoney-creek Frog ((Litoria lesueuri) is a ground dwelling tree frog, found in Eastern Australia in the woodland, rainforest and sclerophyll forests with rocky flowing streams. During the mating season, the males congregate around
streams/rivers and develop a brilliant lemon-yellow pigment on their
skin. They lack a vocal sack. The call is a series of soft trills, which can only be heard within a few metres of the frog.

The living body of the fungus is a mycelium made out of a web of tiny
filaments called hyphae. The mycelium is usually hidden in the soil,
in wood, or another food source. A mycelium may fill a single ant,
or cover many acres. The branching hyphae can add over a half mile
(1 km) of total length to the mycelium each day. These webs live
unseen until they develop mushrooms, puffballs, truffles,
brackets, cups, “birds nests,” “corals” or other fruiting bodies.
