All of the artworks are Inspired by the natural world and my exploratory experiences within. They are the result of travels around the world, journeys within the landscape and to inner realms of the imagination where reality, memory and ideas merge in a form of visual communication I can only describe as Organic Photo Montage.

Cassowary Country Collection 2009

Cassowary Country Collection 2009 (14 images)
This collection acknowledges the fragile and unique environment in which the elusive cassowary lives. It was first exhibited in the Cairns Regional Art Gallery. If you go looking for one of these prehistoric bird there is no guarantee that you will see one, however there are many other things you will discover along the way and you soon realise it is the journey into “Cassowary Country”that counts. Cassowaries are an endangered species principally due to habitat loss and fragmentation of the environment. This collection emphasizes the rarity of them by only showing glimpses of the animal.

Tropical Horizons Collection 2008

Tropical Horizons Collection 2008 (24 images)
Tropical Horizon is a collection of artworks I created in Far North Queensland after returning to my place of origin. I had been away for 15 years and on a personal note these images say welcome back to the tropics of Far North Queensland. It is a series which shows the transition to lush tropical montages and experimentation with vivid living colors by using the surrounding rainforest and creatures as subject matter.

Bush Dreaming Collection 2007

Bush Dreaming Collection 2007 (17 images)
The whitelips are the largest tree frogs in Australia and the world and they can live for over 10 years in their native habitat. They reach lengths between 10 and 14 cm and vary in colour from bright green to brown with a paler colour underside. As their name indicates, they have a distinctive white stripe that runs along their lower lip and over to their shoulder.Their toes are completely webbed but their fingers are only partially webbed.

Urban Beleaf Collection 2006

Urban Beleaf Collection 2006 (18 images)
I spent years walking the streets in Melbourne and watching the street art evolve and change according to society’s trends and politics. I was fascinated with the progression of words and images on the street where multiple layers of paint, paper, stickers and posters were applied to these public spaces. In time, they formed abstract collages which were also influenced by the weather and peoples interaction with them. They were always changing as Individuals left their mark the form of opinions, creative reactions and artworks within the urban landscape. The streets became a collective urban visual diary of the city, life and its occupants.

Texture in Time Collection 2005

Texture in Time Collection 2005 (18 images)
This collection is all about the extraordinary in the ordinary and strongly influenced by the Buddhist/Taoist philosophy: nature and humanity are one. By overlapping organic forms I have collected, multiple layers are visible, which represent different levels of understanding and perception. I try to capture continuous movement and a passing of time by creating the artwork from the inside out. A vibrant collection of harmonic works which acknowledge the macrocosm of the universe embedded within each of us.

Fire Seeds Collection 2004

Fire Seeds Collection 2004 (1 image)
This collection was created during 2004 while living in Adelaide, however due to a housefire the series of images were never exhibited and no longer exist. It is interesting to think that the only image that survived was one of the seed horse above. In an ironic twist many of these seeds in the seed horse image need fire to germinate.

Symbiosis Collection 2003

Symbiosis Collection 2003 (16 IMAGES)
This collection is a tribute to all things magical, progressive, timeless and mysterious in our lives. Altered states of consciousness are explored and represented in their visual form using kaleidoscopic ideas and mushrooms to hint at the human nature relationship. In this visual drift of ideas I have allowed true visions to be illuminated and merge into this fluid and ever changing space and time. Observation, watching things grow, dancing to the beats and communication with the elements have all played a necessary part this series.
