About the Artist |

Gerhard
Hillmann (Naturesface) is best known for his Organic
Photo Montage style of creating vibrant images. He has
been absorbed in his artwork now
for over fifteen years. With a background in photography
he has travelled to many countries in search of experiences
which trigger the imagination and inspiration in people.
Music and nature will always be his biggest influence. |

I am
fortunate to have spent my childhood growing up in Kuranda,
Far North Queensland, Australia. Being immersed in the
rainforest, tropical beaches and coral reefs gave me an
appreciation of the natural world and the unknown. It taught
me that living things breath and altered states of consciousness
are natural. |

I have
lived and studied Art in Germany,USA and Australia. it
was after eight years overseas I decided to come back
home to Australia. With two crushed discs in my back
from being a skateboarder, my
ears are ringing and eyesight is getting worse. However,
I am passionate about what I do and concider myself
extremely lucky to be doing what I love. |

I am living
in Northcote, Melbourne, Australia.You might recognize
some of my work artwork from Cds, Posters and publications.
I also try to exhibit new artwork on a regular basis and
work as a freelance graphic designer. Sometimes also working
in multi-media and moving imagery. These are shown at festivals
around Australia and overseas. Anyway thats enough about
me. This website is an introduction to my language of visual
